Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Bochenski has had an impressive career, working at luxury resorts across the globe, including Arcis Golf in Dallas; Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club on Great Guana Cay, Abaco, Bahamas; Resorts & Residences by Cuisinart on Anguilla; Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet resorts on St. Lucia; and Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ Inn of the Anasazi in Santa Fe, New Mexico; among others. 

Chef Juan Bochenski takes the reins of Hotel Effie's signature restaurant, Ovide, where he will lead the kitchen and oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations across the hotel's four restaurant outlets and in-room dining. His primary focus in this role includes supervising the culinary team and ensuring an optimal guest experience. Bochenski emphasizes the importance of collaborating with local farmers and vendors, aiming to maintain a commitment to serving farm-fresh and sustainable ingredients in the hotel's restaurants whenever possible.

Additionally, our weekends come alive with brunch specials, making your mornings extra special. To experience and witness Chef Juan’s new menu and incredible presentation, make your way to Ovide. Our doors are open Monday to Friday for breakfast from 7 AM to 11 AM, offering a delightful start to your day. Join us for a flavorful lunch experience from 11 AM to 2 PM on weekdays or savor an evening of exquisite dining from 5 PM to 9 PM, Sunday through Thursday, and until 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Elevate your weekends with a brunch feast on Saturdays and Sundays, served from 11 AM to 2 PM. Indulge your senses at Ovide, where every dish is fueled by a passion for sustainability and seasonality that gives each bite incredible flavor unlike anything you’ve tasted before.
